This listing contains a Ted Williams model 100. The gun has the marking Sears Roebuck & Co. The gun is missing the butt plate. For sale by thepawnoutlet on GunsAmerica - 997761494.

  1. I just purchased one of these and would like some more info. Who manufactured these guns for Sears? How would I trace manufacture date? There appears to be a stamped modle number of V143017 on the receiver and a Sears serial number of 273.582.141 on the barrel where it has the Sears, Ted Williams, Model 100, etc, engraved.
  2. I have a Ted Williams, Model 100 lever action 30-30. The actual serial number on the action is V144761 any idea on the year of manufacture.

how do I find when my Ted Williams Model 100 30 30 was made and about what it is worth?

Hello
Sears guns were made by various different firearms manufacturers. The Model 100 was made by Winchester and the actual Sears model number should be 273.532141. It is basically a post-64 Model 94.
In high graded condition, the value will be around $300.
Dates are a bit tough to determine because the serial numbers are not included in the Winchester sequence. I don't have a reference guide for Sears serial numbers, if such a thing exists.

I usually collect oddities like Winchester 40's and 50's, Yet I have two of these great Sears Ted Williams 200 Shotguns SN# P296xxx and P375xxx and one model 300 SN# Q43xxx but know little of them except they were made by Sears can anyone give an MFG date on them the estate I purchased them from claim as well as they can remember Grampa had them since the mid sixties. all have vented ribs and one has a factory installed adjustable end of the barrel muzzle break, all safties are on the trigger, and all have fancy checkered stocks . They are attractive well made cool looking shotguns. I think made by Winchester. Shoot and function well , I know as for collectors they are not very popular as I escaped with three for a hair less than $200.00 Any Ted Williams collectors or enthusiasts on this planet please post your thoughts.
