Mounica is a Telugu actress. She started her acting career in the year of 2005 through film. Although she does not belong from a acting background she had keen interest in acting, so she got into acting from a very young age. . She got her first big break through Mahesh Babu starrer, Athadu in 2005 . After that she acted in Stalin and Chukkallo Chandrudu movies as a child artist during which time she was studying in 10th standard. Radha-Madhu serial's director saw her in movies and offered her the lead role in the serial. At the time of Radha-Madhu serial auditions, she was writing her 10th board exams.

After a successful lead role in Radha-Madhu she was offered a role in the serial Laya under the production of yellow.com. Radha-Madhu was a big hit at that time.She got her fame through Radha-Madhu serial. She completed her B.Com after which she got married, and now she is the mother of a beautiful boy child. She likes dancing and participates in cultural activities on her school days. She wanted to do a fashion designing but she couldn’t. If she gets free time, she likes to cook with her specialty being nonveg items, especially, chicken. She likes shopping and listening to music. She got Maa Tea Award for the serial Abhishekam. In her serials, she likes Raktha Sambandham, Radha-Madhu, and Abishekam serials characters. Amongst all other festivals, Diwali is her favorite. By nature, she is a quiet lady, not very talkative.She does not mingle much with other people and thinks ten times before speaking to anyone.

According to her, quietness is her negative quality but when she speaks, she speaks straightforward, which is her positive quality. Her choice of characters for her role in tv serials are homely characters; she also prefers modern characters, but she would avoid them if that causes her trouble. She has acted for Maa TV, Gemini TV, and ETV. She has nine years of experience in acting.
